We are looking for the right person to contribute and assist with driving change in safety culture and help lead an organisation on its continuous improvement journey. The Manufacturing Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations. This role involves conducting risk assessments, providing safety training, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities & deliverables of the role will be given by one of our dedicated team over the phone. This position will be based at the Leeds site with travel to the Dudley site on occasion.

Essential Experience:
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience in providing safety training and education to employees.
  • Experience in investigating workplace accidents and incidents.
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and conducting safety audits.
  • Experience and understanding of implementing management systems to ISO45001 & 14001 standards.
  • MUST have a NEBOSH National General/Construction certificate(s).
  • Member of a relevant professional body, e.g. IOSH or IIRSM.
