Working Hours: 08.30 – 17.00 Mon-Thursday & 08.30 – 14.30 Friday

GPS Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to take responsibility for leading and optimising all manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost effective production. This role oversees daily factory activities, production planning, quality, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and organisational skills.
  • Strong technical acumen and familiarity with manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP).
  • Ability to influence, communicate, and build relationships across all levels.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification desirable.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certification beneficial.
