Night Shift Manager – Manufacturing Location: Halifax Salary: £45,000 Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00pm–6:00am (Permanent Nights)
Our established manufacturing client is looking for an experienced Night Shift Manager to take responsibility for their night shift operation.
The Role
- Lead and manage the night shift production team.
- Ensure production targets, quality and delivery requirements are achieved.
- Manage staffing, performance, absence and day-to-day shift issues.
- Monitor production output, downtime, waste and efficiency.
- Work closely with Engineering to minimise breakdowns and downtime.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping.
- Ensure effective communication and handover between shifts.
- Identify and implement improvements across the production operation.
- The Person
- Previous supervisory or management experience within manufacturing.
- Strong people-management and leadership skills.
- Confident managing a busy production environment.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and manufacturing KPIs.
- Hands-on, practical approach with the ability to make decisions.
- Plastics, polymers, extrusion, compounding or process manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
