To carry out day to day Engineering and maintenance activities across Production facilities ensuring production equipment/machinery are maintained and serviced in order to meet production requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure maximum plant availability through effective response, fault finding diagnosis and repair of a wide range of plant equipment including Conveyors, Elevators, Form Fill and Seals, and Palletisers.
- Clearly communicate all maintenance to key site contacts; Production Manager, Shift Supervisor, Engineering team colleagues as appropriate.
- Assist in developing planned maintenance schedules including shutdowns.
- Follow and complete planned work schedules/instructions for designated maintenance activities to agreed timescales.
- Maintain electrical plant, equipment and control systems (including PLC and SCADA) in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
- Carry out installations of new plant equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, inclusive of calibrations, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and fabrication.
- Safe use of all engineering tools and equipment as required to ensure all operations run safely and efficiently including safe handling and installation of parts with safe processes followed at all times.
- Maintain and continually review/develop Safe Systems of Work including implementation of appropriate Risk Assessments as appropriate.
- Ensuring that hazards and risks are minimised.
Working Hours: Day shift: Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm. Friday 7.30am - 2.00pm.
