The Role: Operating and Setting of manual Lathes and Milling machines to achieve efficient manufacture of components from engineering drawings. Occasional work on other machines in the section will be required so experience with surface grinders and drilling machines would be an advantage.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of all areas within their section.
- Reporting faults with equipment.
- Maintain equipment.
- Retrain where needed to develop the business.
- Undertaking any other role given within their capabilities.
Essential:
- The successful candidate would have at least 5 years’ minimum experience operating manual Lathes and Milling machines and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
- Problem solving innovative thought.
- Ability to work with own initiative and or as a team player.
Desirable:
- Other manual machines such as grinding and drilling machines.
- Knowledge of inspection equipment.
Working Hours: Days only (Monday to Friday) Monday to Thursday 8.00am-5.00pm and Friday 8.00am-4.00pm.
