What Are We Looking For?
GPS Group is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join us on a permanent basis at our offices in Bristol. We are a specialist control and automation manufacturer and systems integrator, and this opportunity will have you working alongside an established team who deliver control system solutions into industrial and regulated utility sectors.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
You will take on a leading role in aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.
As part of a multi-discipline project team, some of your key duties include:
- Meeting with Clients to discuss specific intervention requirements.
- Carry out intrusive Electrical and ICA site surveys to identify the most appropriate solutions to complex problems.
- Carry out the planning and implementation of the project.
- Taking the lead on the development of EICA design deliverables by you and your team.
- Providing technical guidance on EICA matters to the wider project team.
What Do You Need?
- Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of British and European design standards.
- Proven track record as an Electrical Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment within the Water (or related Process) Industry.
