Temporary Bookkeeper – VAT & Management Accounts
Boutique Accountancy Firm – London
Our client, a long-established boutique firm of chartered accountants based in London, is seeking an experienced Temporary Bookkeeper to support their close-knit Business Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience candidate to work with a diverse and interesting portfolio of clients.
The Role:
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality bookkeeping and management accounts services, including:
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts for a varied client base.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including partial exemption where applicable.
- Maintaining accurate client records and preparing working papers to support accounts and VAT filings.
- Providing ad-hoc support and advice to clients on accounting systems, controls, and reporting.
- Ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, while keeping Managers and Partners updated on progress.
- Taking ownership of assignments and ensuring they are completed accurately and efficiently.
Candidate Profile:
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience
- Proven experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
