GPN Recruitment is supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Luton that is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager seeking a varied role combining client portfolio management, audit leadership and team development. You'll work with a broad range of owner-managed businesses and established organisations, and will be responsible for a varied and interesting portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of audit and accounts clients with fees of up to £750k.
- Manage audits from planning to completion.
- Review statutory accounts.
- Provide guidance on technical accounting and auditing matters.
- Support training, performance management, and career development of junior staff.
- Assist with resource planning and assignment scheduling.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years' post-qualified experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong background across both audit and accounts.
- Experience managing client portfolios and reviewing assignments.
- Excellent knowledge of UK accounting and auditing requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
