Key responsibilities
- Prepare corporation tax returns, computations and supporting working papers for companies and groups, ensuring accuracy and meeting HMRC deadlines.
- Handle HMRC correspondence and assist with enquiries.
- Support clients with corporation tax liabilities, reliefs and compliance changes, with guidance from managers and partners where required.
- Build strong client relationships and respond to day-to-day tax queries.
- Research and support advisory assignments, including reorganisations, R&D and capital allowances.
- Work closely with audit, accounts and company secretarial colleagues.
- Manage your workload effectively and support colleagues during busy periods.
- Depending on experience, review work and help develop junior team members.
Qualifications and skills
- ATT/CTA or ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or studying towards a relevant qualification.
- Relevant UK accountancy practice experience with a focus on corporation tax.
- Experience preparing CT600s, tax computations and supporting working papers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to organise your workload around statutory deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a personable approach to client relationships.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and enthusiasm to develop your technical knowledge.
- The right to work in the UK.
