We’re working with a well-regarded and expanding accountancy practice based in North London who are looking to appoint an organised and proactive Admin Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, close-knit team where you’ll play a key role in supporting both the administrative and financial operations of the firm.

This position would suit someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Billing & Credit Control: Prepare and send out client invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor outstanding balances and proactively follow up on overdue payments. Liaise with clients via phone and email to resolve payment queries. Keep internal systems updated with payment activity and debtor status. Escalate any complex issues to senior team members where required.
  • Accounts & VAT Support: Assist in maintaining schedules for upcoming accounts and VAT deadlines. Work closely with the accounts team to help ensure all compliance deadlines are met.
  • Client Liaison & Coordination: Act as a key point of contact for clients, requesting documentation and records. Follow up on outstanding information needed for accounts preparation and VAT filings. Maintain accurate logs of communications and outstanding items.
  • General Administration: Maintain and update client databases and records. Assist with onboarding new clients. Provide ad hoc administrative support to the wider team. Ensure all filing (digital and physical) is organised and up to date.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in an administrative role within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Confident communicator with a professional approach to client interaction.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
