GPN Recruitment is partnering with a well-established London-based accountancy practice to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager into its Business Services function as part of ongoing growth. You will be responsible for managing a varied client portfolio as well as managing an experienced team. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure excellent service delivery while supporting the development of people, processes, and client relationships. You will also be involved in business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients
- Reviewing year-end statutory accounts and management accounts
- Overseeing corporate tax compliance and related filings
- Providing high-level oversight of VAT and bookkeeping outputs
- Leading and mentoring onshore and remote team members
- Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and ensuring technical quality
- Supporting workflow management, billing, and delivery deadlines
- Contributing to improvements in internal processes and client service
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing client portfolios
- Broad technical knowledge across accounts and tax
- Strong recent experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
- Comfortable leading teams and reviewing others’ work
