GPN Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and growing accountancy practice that is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional who enjoys a varied workload across both audit and accounts. You'll work closely with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and growing organisations while benefiting from a supportive environment, flexible working arrangements, and genuine long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts for a range of clients.
- Prepare corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
- Liaise directly with clients, building strong professional relationships.
- Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit matters.
- Ensure assignments are completed efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
- Review work completed by trainees.
- Assist managers and partners with client projects and ad-hoc assignments.
- Support clients with general accounting and business advisory matters.
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, finalist, or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice environment.
- Strong audit experience with the ability to lead audits from planning to completion.
- Good understanding of statutory accounts preparation.
- Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills.
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members is advantageous.
