GPN Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Buckinghamshire who are looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nearly qualified ACA or ACCA studier to join a supportive and technically strong firm offering genuine responsibility, varied client exposure and clear progression opportunities.
The role will be approximately 70% audit and 30% accounts preparation, with the successful candidate expected to lead audits from planning through to completion whilst working closely with managers and partners. The firm works with a diverse and interesting client portfolio across sectors including renewable energy, construction-related businesses, manufacturing, gaming, charities, professional services and waste management, with turnovers ranging up to £80m.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading audits from planning through to completion
- Carrying out audit fieldwork both on-site and in the office
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients during assignments
- Preparing statutory accounts under FRS102
- Assisting in the supervision and support of junior team members
- Identifying audit risks and ensuring compliance with accounting and audit standards
- Building strong client relationships and delivering a high level of service
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified and approaching qualification
- Strong UK practice audit experience
- Experience leading audits from planning through to completion
- Good understanding of UK accounting and audit standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Accounts preparation experience would be beneficial, although candidates with a predominantly audit background will also be considered
- Motivated, professional and keen to progress within practice and a desire to work in audit
- Strong audit exposure across a varied client portfolio
