This position will suit an experienced practice professional who thrives in a hands-on, operational role and is looking to take ownership of internal processes, team coordination, and finance functions within a growing firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring smooth operations across all service lines.
  • Manage workflow, resourcing, and deadlines across accounts, tax, and payroll teams.
  • Client accounting - management accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Act as a key point of contact for staff, supporting performance, development, and team coordination.
  • Oversee and review payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Take ownership of internal finance processes, including billing, WIP, and cashflow oversight.
  • Support partners with operational strategy, reporting, and process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong background within a UK accountancy practice environment.
  • Good working knowledge of accounts, tax, and payroll processes.
  • Experience in preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and tax computations.
  • Proven experience managing workflows, teams, or operational functions.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working closely with partners.
  • Ideally ACA / ACCA / MAAT qualified or qualified by experience.
