THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an excellent opportunity for an Outsourcing Senior / Management Accountant looking to work closely with a varied portfolio of clients and take ownership of their day-to-day financial reporting requirements.
You will act as a key point of contact for clients, supporting them with management information, financial reporting and outsourced finance function services.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
Reviewing bookkeeping and transactional processing
Preparation and review of VAT returns
Assisting with budgeting and cash flow forecasting
Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
Some involvement in the preparation of statutory accounts
Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems and financial reporting requirements
Liaising directly with business owners and finance teams
Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members where appropriate
Assisting managers and partners with ad hoc advisory projects
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
ACA or ACCA qualification (or be close to qualification) or similar
Previous experience within an accountancy practice outsourcing or business services team
Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
