GPN Recruitment is supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Luton that is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager seeking a varied role combining client portfolio management, audit leadership and team development. You'll work with a broad range of owner-managed businesses and established organisations, and will be responsible for a varied and interesting portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of audit and accounts clients with fees of up to £750k.
  • Manage audits from planning to completion.
  • Review statutory accounts.
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting and auditing matters.
  • Support training, performance management, and career development of junior staff.
  • Assist with resource planning and assignment scheduling.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years' post-qualified experience within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong background across both audit and accounts.
  • Experience managing client portfolios and reviewing assignments.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK accounting and auditing requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
