GPN Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and growing accountancy practice that is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional who enjoys a varied workload across both audit and accounts. You'll work closely with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and growing organisations while benefiting from a supportive environment, flexible working arrangements, and genuine long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for a range of clients.
  • Prepare corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong professional relationships.
  • Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit matters.
  • Ensure assignments are completed efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Review work completed by trainees.
  • Assist managers and partners with client projects and ad-hoc assignments.
  • Support clients with general accounting and business advisory matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, finalist, or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice environment.
  • Strong audit experience with the ability to lead audits from planning to completion.
  • Good understanding of statutory accounts preparation.
  • Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills.
  • Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members is advantageous.
