You will be the only employee on site during the overnight shift (typically 10 PM–6 AM). Your role is to keep the store running smoothly, assisting late‑night customers, and ensuring the premises remain clean, safe, and ready for the next day.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a smile and run the register accurately and quickly.
- Sell lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products while ensuring compliance with all age verification and legal requirements.
- Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment inside and outside the store.
- Deep clean high‑use restrooms.
- Wipe down and sanitize gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets).
- Pick up litter and trash from floors and lot area.
- Take out trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and full.
- Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways.
- Willingly cross‑train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum age 18 (or 21 in certain states) and legal to work in the United States.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
- Physical ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
- Dependable, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Positive, friendly demeanor with a knack for making customers feel welcome.
