We are looking for a skilled joiner / carpenter to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling pre-machined frames, installing ironmongery into timber fire doors, pre-hanging the doors in the frames, and installing glass vision panels with pre-made beads using a variety of tools and techniques. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties:
- Installing hinges, locks, spy holes, letter boxes, intumescent etc into pre-machined door sets according to specifications.
- Operate power tools and hand tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and routers.
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks.
- Assembling pre-machined frames together.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Skills:
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for woodworking.
- Knowledge of joinery techniques and woodworking principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts.
- Familiarity with timber doors and fitting an advantage.
