Responsibilities:
As a Practice Nurse working for GPDQ, you will have access to a multitude of workstreams enabling you to develop a portfolio career. You will be working for a private company delivering high-quality nursing care within a private setting, supporting patients with acute and chronic health needs, preventative healthcare, and women's health services. The post-holder will provide a full range of nursing services while working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to meet practice priorities. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and a passion for promoting preventative health measures.
- Provide nursing services during surgery sessions, including face-to-face and telephone consultations
- Deliver services including intrauterine device/system (IUD/IUS) fitting, removal, and aftercare
- Conduct cervical cytology (smear tests)
- Provide contraceptive advice and sexual health care
- Undertake chronic disease management clinics (e.g., asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)
- Provide immunisations (childhood, travel, seasonal)
- Support health promotion, patient education, and lifestyle advice (e.g., smoking cessation, weight management)
- Administer adult vaccinations and injections as required
- Assist with minor surgery and other treatment room duties
- Participate in safeguarding processes for children and vulnerable adults
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records on the clinical system (EMIS / SystmOne or equivalent)
- Work flexibly as part of the wider practice team
Essential requirements:
- Must have a Right to Work in the UK
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with NMC registration
- Must be IT literate
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery
