HCA Phlebotomist for Health Checks taking heart rate and blood pressure checks and inputting result data on the system.

Responsible for drawing the two blood samples, labelling and storing correctly in fixed and mobile locations.

Checking the welfare of the participant throughout the appointment, escalating as required.

Offering signposting, advice and guidance to participants as relevant.

Responsible for preparing boxes containing samples to be collected by the courier.

Minimum of one year’s active experience drawing blood (as validated through competency checklist and references during recruitment process).

Background: Over 1,000,000 participants over the age of 18.

A six days per week service, running Monday to Sunday, linked to laboratory opening hours, and open from 07:50 to 18:10 to ensure maximum accessibility to participants.

The service will be delivered across various regions in Northern Ireland, Wales.

Obtaining venous blood draw (2 x 6 ml EDTA samples).

Providing the participant with any information based on tests undertaken (where applicable).
