Hours: 37 hours per week | Monday to Thursday (06:00 - 15:30)

Rate: Up to £18.43 per hour PAYE (DOE)

Were looking for a De-Snag Painter with a strong eye for detail and real pride in finish quality. This role sits at the final stage of production, making sure vehicles are completed to a high standard before they move on.

Youll be working on large commercial refuse vehicles, carrying out detailed cosmetic repairs and ensuring any imperfections are corrected before sign-off. The role requires patience, accuracy, and the ability to work around fully built vehicles where access can be tight and surfaces need careful handling.

Typical work will include:

  • Identifying and rectifying paint defects such as runs, dry spray, contamination, scratches, and minor damage
  • Carrying out localised repairs and blending to achieve a consistent finish
  • Masking areas correctly to protect surrounding components during repair work
  • Flatting, polishing, and preparing surfaces to restore paint quality
  • Inspecting vehicles thoroughly to ensure all snags are corrected before release
  • Working around fully assembled refuse vehicles, including body panels, chassis areas, and hoppers
  • Ensuring all work meets strict quality standards at final inspection stage
