We are currently recruiting for an experienced Test Engineer to support engine testing and development activities within a high-performance engineering environment based in Warwick. This is a hands-on role working with multicylinder combustion engines, supporting performance, emissions, durability, and calibration testing across multiple test rigs and development programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and run engine tests covering performance, combustion, emissions, and durability.
- Operate and maintain engine testbeds, ensuring daily readiness and safe operation.
- Configure and monitor test cell systems including fuel, air, cooling, lubrication, and control systems.
- Work with tools and software such as AVL PUMA, ETAS INCA, AVL CAMEO, and Indicom.
- Install and validate instrumentation (pressure sensors, thermocouples, emissions equipment, flow meters, etc.).
- Conduct combustion analysis including heat release, knock detection, and variation studies.
- Process and analyse test data, producing clear technical reports and documentation.
- Troubleshoot rig, hardware, and measurement issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure all testing is carried out safely in line with high-risk engine test cell procedures.
