We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist / Fabrication Technician to join a leading advanced engineering and prototype manufacturing environment based in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to support low-volume prototype and development builds across a range of high-performance engineering projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in manufacturing and modifying components for specialist build and test operations.
The Role
The position will involve setting, operating, and programming both CNC and manual machinery within a fast-paced machine shop environment. You will be responsible for producing precision components from a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials while supporting multiple engineering departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate, and program 3-axis CNC milling machinery
- Manual turning and milling of prototype and low-volume components
- Manufacture and modify components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Support fabrication and welding activities where required
- Carry out self-inspection and quality checks on completed work
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
