Are you a Qualified Electrician looking for a new contract? We are currently seeking a Qualified Electrician for Electrical Testing, PAT testing and Maintenance repairs in Newport.
About the role:
- PAT testing
- RCD checks
- Small installations (such as extensions to existing installations, extra sockets or lights)
- Basic repairs to industrial equipment (such as re-glanding cables for example)
- Planned inspections of industrial and commercial equipment β some will be bespoke, such as shore supplies, some are fairly regular industrial 3 phase motors
- Basic mechanical repairs and mechanical assembly
Hours per week: four days per week Tuesday - Thursday 7am β 3pm, Friday 7am β 1pm, One Saturday per month, nominally 7am - 2pm.
About the person:
- NVQL3 / Gold card holders
- BS7671 (18th edition), including installation, inspection and testing
- NVQ level 3 in electrical installation
- IPAF 3Βͺ and 3B qualified
- Must be NICEIC approved
- Must be able to work on circuits up to and including 3 phase 415vAC industrial Systems
- Must have commercial and Industrial experience
- They must provide all their own tools, such as multimeters, insulated cutters / screwdrivers etc.
- They must also be able and competent to prove dead

- Ability to maintain high standards and follow quality control processes
- Proactive and confident attitude
