Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fitter to join our Production team in Warwick. You will be responsible for producing high-quality welded and fabricated assemblies, ensuring work is completed to specification, on time, and in line with BS EN ISO 9001 quality standards. This role requires a strong focus on quality, teamwork, health & safety, and flexibility across the production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG & MAG welding and fabrication of steel components (2mm-10mm)
- Build, tack, and complete fabrication work from engineering drawings
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and No Fault Forward (NFF) requirements
- Identify and correct visual defects in fabrication work
- Work collaboratively with team leaders and colleagues to meet production targets
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, including correct use of PPE
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- Work flexibly across production areas when required
- Complete accurate sign-off of work in line with company systems
About You
Essential:
- Experience in MIG & MAG welding
- Experience in medium-heavy steel fabrication (2mm-10mm)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to fabricate, tack, and complete welded assemblies
- Strong attention to quality and detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and variable positions
Desirable:
- Welding/fabrication qualifications and certifications
- BS EN 287 coded welding approval (multi-position)
- Experience using a pendant crane
- Knowledge of cellular manufacturing processes
- Basic computer literacy
