The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Paint Sprayer / Prepper to join a busy manufacturing team in Warwick. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for preparing, masking, and spraying large commercial vehicles to a high standard while working to production schedules and quality requirements. You'll play a key role in ensuring vehicles leave the paint shop with a first-class finish whilst maintaining excellent health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicles for painting, including masking and surface preparation.
  • Spray large commercial vehicles to a high-quality standard.
  • Work efficiently to production schedules and takt times.
  • Carry out general paint shop duties as required.
  • Maintain quality standards and identify any issues proactively.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets.
  • Operate within company procedures and quality standards.

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience in a commercial paint spraying or vehicle preparation role.
  • Experience preparing surfaces prior to paint application.
  • Knowledge of production processes and working to quality standards.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements when working with paints and solvents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Flexibility to work across different areas of the paint shop.
  • Reliable attendance and excellent timekeeping.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous experience working to takt times.
  • Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Apprenticeship or relevant vocational qualification.

Physical Requirements

This role involves:

  • Working in confined or awkward positions.
  • Climbing onto and around large vehicles.
  • Entering and exiting vehicle bodies and hoppers.
  • Occasional manual handling and lifting activities.
