We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician (CMM) to join our precision engineering team. Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards through detailed inspection, documentation, and collaboration with other departments to improve productivity and quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify product requirements and provide measurement and process control support.
- Perform supplier incoming inspections and maintain accurate results records.
- Conduct non-conforming parts analysis and support root cause investigations.
- Maintain quality system documentation and inspection records.
- Inspect products using manual gauging tools and CNC CMM (PCDMIS software).
- Complete detailed inspection reports based on marked drawings.
- Carry out Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) on quality equipment.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in metrology and GD&T, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Minimum 3 years experience in manual inspection using standard measurement tools (e.g., height gauge, shadowgraph, vernier caliper, micrometers).
- At least 2 years experience operating CNC CMM machines, with basic PCDMIS programming knowledge.
- Experience using surface finish test equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and discipline in following quality processes.
Working Hours/Pay Rate:
- Morning Shift: 05:50 - 14:00 (Mon-Thu), 05:50 - 12:40 (Fri)
- Afternoon Shift: 13:50 - 22:15 (Mon-Thu), 12:30 - 18:20 (Fri)
- Additional hours may be required in line with business needs.
- 6-12 Month Contract £22.00ph Ltd / £17.40ph PAYE
Initial Training:
- All new starters will complete a two-month training period on day shift: 08:00 - 17:00 (Mon-Thu), 08:00 - 13:00 (Fri)
