They support applications across automotive auxiliary systems, telecoms backup power, mobility, industrial equipment, and specialist battery-powered systems. This is a close-knit SME environment where engineers are heavily involved in the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to testing and production support.

The role

You will help transform electronic schematics and concepts into fully functioning prototype devices, combining electronics assembly, wiring, and mechanical integration. This is a highly practical, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working directly with hardware and solving engineering problems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and assemble electronic prototypes from schematics and BOMs
  • Carry out PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and modification including SMT/SMD components
  • Design and implement internal wiring layouts and harness assemblies
  • Integrate electronic assemblies into enclosures and prototype housings
  • Support light mechanical fabrication and assembly work
  • Troubleshoot and resolve prototype build issues
  • Maintain build, inspection, and test documentation

What we're looking for:

  • Strong soldering and PCB assembly skills including SMT/SMD work
  • Experience with PCB rework, repair, and prototype builds
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams and technical drawings
  • Hands-on mechanical assembly and enclosure integration experience
