We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supplier Quality professional to join a growing aerospace and advanced engineering business at an exciting stage of expansion. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in supplier quality, supplier development, and manufacturing quality assurance to play a key role in shaping and improving the supply chain function.
Working closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, you will support the approval, development, and ongoing management of suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant products across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support supplier approval, onboarding, auditing, and ongoing performance management
- Drive supplier quality improvements across quality, cost, and delivery performance
- Lead supplier investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for non-conformances
- Conduct supplier audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings
- Support supplier selection, capability assessments, and supply chain risk reviews
- Coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and supplier quality projects
- Work collaboratively with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support DFMA and NPI activities
- Support value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience within Supplier Quality/Supplier Quality Assurance roles
- Previous experience within aerospace, automotive, or advanced engineering/manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of ISO9001, AS/EN9100, and EASA Part 21 standards
- Experience using core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, SPC, and FMEA
- Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and supplier corrective actions
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards
- Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience across commodities such as composites, machining, metallic structures, or power systems
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement knowledge
- Lead Auditor qualification and/or Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience within multi-site or global manufacturing environments
