This unique GP practice is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) ready to step into a senior role and truly make a difference. This full-time position involves a 40‐hour workweek, including a 1:3 branch Saturday and a 1:10 Sunday rotation and 1–2 bank holidays a year at the nearby hospital. You will receive time off for weekend days worked and there are no on‐call requirements, allowing for a better work‐life balance.
Responsibilities
- Leading the nursing team to ensure high‐quality and continually improving standards of care.
- Assisting the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations.
- Utilising Schedule 3 skills as directed.
- Maintaining and servicing all diagnostic, surgical, and medical equipment.
- Conducting weekly audits of controlled drugs in accordance with protocols.
- Managing the reception staff to ensure excellent client care and communication.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the reception area.
- Supporting student nurses as a clinical supervisor.
While prior leadership experience is ideal, it is not essential. Formal in‐house leadership training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced RVN ready to step up and make this role their own, working alongside a supportive and engaged team.
