We are seeking a Salaried General Practitioner to join our team at Talybont Surgery, delivering six sessions per week. Talybont Surgery is a progressive, partner‑led practice committed to delivering high‑quality patient care within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. We serve a patient list of approximately 9,900 patients and are located on the boundary between Swansea and Carmarthenshire, operating within Swansea Bay University Health Board, with about one third of patients residing in Carmarthenshire.

Team Composition

Our clinical team currently consists of seven GPs (including five salaried and two partners), two GP Registrars, two Prescribing Pharmacists, a Mental Health Practitioner, a Women’s Health Specialist Nurse, two Practice Nurses and a Healthcare Assistant. The team is supported by an experienced and friendly administrative, reception and management team. We are also a training practice, actively involved in supporting the development of future clinicians; we host two GP Registrars and undergraduate medical students, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a supportive teaching and learning environment.

Responsibilities

The post‑holder will manage a caseload and address a wide range of health needs within a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for both registered and temporary patients.
