The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

The purpose of the role is to:

  • Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the phone.
  • Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

Full training will be provided. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated team player to work within our small and friendly team. Ideally, you will have gained previous experience working within a GP practice, but we will provide training and support. NHS Pension scheme is available.

We serve 6,000 patients with 3 GP partners offering an excellent supportive clinical and administrative working environment. We have been a triage practice since 2015, operating Emis and askmyGP with a practice pharmacist and nurse-led minor illness clinics. We are also a training practice for Specialty GP Trainees, Foundation Year doctors and Cardiff final year medical students.
