The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to our registered and temporary patient population and will manage a varied and interesting clinical caseload. Responsibilities include:
- Face-to-face surgery consultations
- Telephone and remote consultations
- Home visits where clinically appropriate
- Reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions
- Managing clinical correspondence, referrals, results and associated paperwork in a timely manner
- Making autonomous clinical decisions regarding presenting problems
- Assessing and managing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
- Identifying disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Developing personalised care plans in partnership with patients
- Referring patients appropriately to community and secondary care services
- Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team
- Undertaking the full range of duties expected of a GP working within primary care
