We welcome applications from GPs who definitely have a view to a partnership. The accounts and information will be made available to serious applications after the first interview. It is important for all of us that we, and you, feel you would fit in, in the first instance.
Main duties of the job include working in a 10,000 patient surgery and helping lead and support the partnership team. As a qualified GP, you would also perform the usual GP role with clinics etc. We would prefer the partner to buy into the practice as we still own both buildings, and this would be an excellent investment opportunity. For the right candidate, we can support this in varied ways so it does not feel daunting. The key for us is for someone to settle down in the practice and see this as your future and invest in this.
About us: Saundersfoot Medical Centre is based in a sought-after village, within walking distance to the sea in beautiful Pembrokeshire. Staff benefit from modern facilities, parking, and NHS pension. Services include physiotherapy, a Mental Health Practitioner, an excellent nursing team with a diabetic specialist nurse, training practice, and a branch surgery in the nearby village of Kilgetty. If you are planning on moving to the Pembrokeshire area or relocating, we would be able to support this as we have a lovely flat above the Kilgetty branch we could make available to the right candidate.
Job responsibilities: What is most important to us is that you fit in and have a positive can-do attitude. You do not fear partnership but actually welcome it. This is more likely to suit someone already working as a salaried GP but would like to move to the next stage or someone relocating. We do welcome applications from candidates who have just qualified, but they would need to demonstrate the commitment to becoming a partner.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: GMC Registered, Minor surgery (or interest in), GP Trainer (or interest in)
- Experience: Experience and qualified to work in primary care
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
