Are you a motivated and enthusiastic General Practice Nurse with experience in Primary Care? Taff Riverside Practice is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Practice Nurse looking for an exciting new opportunity within a friendly, welcoming environment.
Our Practice consists of approximately 3500 patients with a supportive clinical team of 3 GP Partners, 1 HCA and an exceptional administration team. The surgery is located close to the city centre in the Canton/Riverside area with a diverse population. It is easily accessible by public transport and has allocated parking.
Main duties of the job:- Registered Nurse with up-to-date NMC Registration and must have worked in a Primary Care setting with knowledge of current policies, protocols and national targets.

- Cervical Screening
- Childhood Immunisations
- Health Promotion
- Cardiovascular Disease Management
- Travel Health
Hours to be negotiated. Salary negotiable dependant on experience.
About us: Welcome to Taff Riverside Practice, Cardiff. We are a 3 GP/Partner practice with a team including nurse, HCA and our excellent reception/admin team. We operate a walk-in surgery. Our reception team will take brief details of each patient's concern, triaging them elsewhere as appropriate. On a normal day we will limit, to the best of our ability, and excluding any emergencies, to a maximum of 18 patients for each doctor. It is unusual that this number is exceeded. We also offer, where appropriate, for patients to send photographs for review or, currently using Iplatop to complete a consultation. We use EMIS and EPS.
Job responsibilities:To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care to the practice population with focus on the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with long-term conditions and acute problems. This includes screening, assessment, treatment and education as well as taking an active role in supporting the practice to maximise achievement against local and national targets in respect of the GMS Contract and Enhanced Services.
Person Specification:Experience:- Experience of working within a nursing team
- Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients
- Experience of working in primary care
- Experience of working alone
- Registered Nurse with up-to-date NMC Registration and must have worked in a Primary Care setting with knowledge of current policies, protocols and national targets.
- Qualified in Phlebotomy
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check
