Come join us! Morlais Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly primary care team. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality patient care, support chronic disease management, deliver health promotion activities, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to ensure excellent clinical outcomes and patient experience.
About us: We are one of the largest GP practices in Wales serving over 25,500 patients across three sites. We have a great team of 7 partners, 10 salaried GPs, 6 nurses, 4 HCAs and a clinical pharmacist. We provide first‑contact physiotherapy every day.
Job Responsibilities:
- Chronic disease management including diabetes, respiratory and women's health
- Immunisations
- Women’s health and family planning
- Adherence to infection control procedures
- Taking and recording observations such as blood pressure monitoring
- Venepuncture
- Conducting ECGs
- Wound care
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with substantial post‑qualification experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Experience:
- Experience of working in primary care
- Experience of working alone
- Competent and trained to perform venepuncture
- Experience in chronic disease management
- Experience in immunisation
- Experience performing ECGs
Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Pay: Pay scale: Band 6, depending on skill set and experience. Salary available upon request.
