We are looking to appoint a salaried GP. The team here are friendly and supportive. We are a forward-thinking practice and offer opportunities to train the next generation of GPs as an accredited training practice and also via work experience and the LIFT foundation program. The practice is based in Newport, Gwent and is within easy reach of the M4. The practice has a population of just over 10,000 patients. Sessions are flexible as there is opportunity to work 4-6 sessions. The current medical team consists of 4 Doctors, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Health Care Assistant and 1 Phlebotomist. We are supported by an NCN pharmacist, midwife, PWP and a DSN. The practice also has a strong administrative support team. We aim to offer high quality care to our patients and provide an extensive range of services. High achieving practice with good access outcomes, covering the majority of enhanced services. The practice is willing to wait for the right candidate and we would welcome newly qualified GPs and GP retainers. An informal visit with the team can be arranged on request.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Qualified and registered as a General Practitioner, with ability to confirm this on the GMC register/performers list. Qualified for 1 year, but not essential.
- Experience: Experience of working in Primary Care. Experience of working in Wales.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
