We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Salaried GP to join our friendly, well-established semi-rural practice in Wales. This role offers 4 to 6 sessions per week, worked across Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, providing a great balance between professional fulfilment and work-life balance.
The successful candidate will join a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse local population. Our practice values continuity of care, teamwork and clinical autonomy, with systems in place to support safe and efficient working. This post would suit an experienced GP or a newly qualified GP looking for a stable salaried role in a welcoming practice with strong clinical and administrative support.

Main duties of the job:- Provide high-quality general medical services in line with NHS Wales, GMS/PMS contract and GMC standards.
- Undertake face-to-face, telephone and digital consultations for acute, chronic and preventative care.
- Manage patients with long-term conditions, promoting continuity of care in a semi-rural setting.
- Carry out home visits where clinically appropriate.
- Prescribe safely and cost-effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines.
- Review and action clinical correspondence and investigation results in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and attend practice meetings as required.
- Participate in quality improvement, clinical audit, QOF and enhanced services.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to clinical governance, safeguarding and health and safety policies.
- Engage in CPD, appraisal and revalidation in line with GMC requirements.

Qualifications:- Medical Degree
- A recognised primary medical qualification (e.g., MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) from a GMC approved institution.
- Full GMC Registration
- GP Training Completion Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice or equivalent (e.g. MRCGP through UK training or Certificate Confirming Eligibility for GP Registration CEGPR).

- Additional postgraduate medical qualifications (e.g., diplomas in clinical areas such as women's health, dermatology, minor surgery, chronic disease management).
- Specialist clinical interests beyond general practice core competencies.
- General Practice Experience
- Completed GP training with CCT, MRCGP, or CEGPR.
- Experience working as a GP in a UK practice (including supervised GP training posts).
- Evidence of competent independent clinical practice.
- Experience in managing acute and chronic conditions.
- Competence in consultations, diagnosis, and management planning.
- Prescribing experience for a broad range of conditions, in line with NHS prescribing guidelines.
- Familiarity with electronic patient record systems used in Wales (EMIS Web, Vision, SystmOne).
- Experience maintaining accurate clinical records and performing routine audits or reviews.
- Experience collaborating with nurses, healthcare assistants, and other primary care staff.
- Ability to work in a team and support integrated care pathways.
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Experience in managing consultations with diverse populations, including vulnerable patients.
- Experience working under NHS policies, protocols, and frameworks.
- Understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, and data protection requirements.
- Participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) relevant to GP practice.
- Evidence of keeping up to date with clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Experience working in Welsh NHS primary care
- Experience in areas of a clinical interest e.g. chronic disease management, minor surgery, ENT
- Experience supervising, mentoring or teaching trainees or students.
