Mount Surgery has strong links to Swansea University Medical School, as well as being a training practice for GP Registrars. We also employ a broad range of support staff including Nurses, Pharmacy Technicians and Physicians Associates, with exceptional staff retention throughout the whole practice.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide consultations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients.
- Manage long-term conditions and provide preventive healthcare.
- Prescribe medications and refer patients to specialists when needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete necessary documentation.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
- Support training and supervision of junior staff, if required.
- Adhere to NHS Wales and GMC professional standards.

Person Specification:
- Experience in primary care and managing a full range of clinical conditions.
- Teamwork in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with EMIS and electronic health records.
- Special interests, e.g. women's health, minor surgery, mental health.
- Teaching or mentoring medical students or junior staff.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree MBBS or equivalent.
- Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Inclusion on the GMC GP Register.
- Inclusion on the Welsh Medical Performers List.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Safeguarding training Level 3.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
