G&P are seeking an organised Build Site Coordinator to support a top automotive OEM based in Coventry. This contract role sits at the heart of prototype and production builds, ensuring materials, logistics, and processes align to support next-generation vehicle technologies.

This role supports the development and delivery of build operations processes, resource and capacity planning, and logistics for all programmes, build sites, and unit moves. You’ll also drive continuous improvement projects while managing day-to-day responsibilities of your team. The Build Site Coordinator role is varied and fast-paced, ideal for someone who can juggle multiple tasks and build strong cross-functional relationships across the business.
Working hours: Mon – Fri – Rotating shifts – 06:00am – 14:00pm / 14:00pm – 22:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate build readiness and resolve parts shortages
- Track and manage parts movement across stores and build zones
- Oversee missing, damaged, or incorrect part processes and rework activities
- Collaborate with Stores, Supply Chain, Build Planning, and Operations to maintain build flow
- Maintain and improve operational processes, tracking tools, and dashboards
- Investigate part pick issues, escalate risks, and drive resolution
Experience:
- Experience in logistics, parts, manufacturing, or build operations
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder coordination
- Organised, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Problem-solving mindset with structured investigation skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Familiarity with SAP, GPIRS, or similar parts tracking/BOM systems
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
- Prototype or low-volume build experience
- Familiarity with Agile/project planning tools (Wrike, JIRA, MS Project)
- Data-driven approach with experience producing reports or dashboards
- Background in Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, or Data Analytics
