We’re looking for a skilled Inspection / CMM Programmer to join our quality team, working on high-performance components — including products within our F1 range. This hands‑on role is key to ensuring the highest standards of dimensional accuracy, quality, and documentation throughout the inspection process.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general inspection duties as directed by the Principal Inspector and as detailed on Product Inspection Requests (PIRs)
- Liaise with Engineering, SQA, and Quality teams to resolve product or supplier issues
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to create ISIR documentation
- Use hand measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and shadowgraphs
- Program CMM machines (Calypso or PC-DMIS software preferred) for F1 product inspections
- Support the use of 3D scanning and surface finish equipment (experience desirable but not essential)
- Maintain accurate and timely inspection records and documentation
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping and contribute to continuous improvement across the business
- Support other teams with measurement or quality‑related issues as required
About You
- Proven experience in an inspection or quality control role within precision engineering or automotive/manufacturing
- Strong CMM programming skills (Calypso or PC-DMIS ideal)
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Hands‑on experience with manual measurement tools
- Good communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally
- Knowledge or experience of working with F1 or motorsport components is advantageous
