We are currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our outstanding quality management team based onsite at one of our most prestigious automotive OEM's. If you're confident in quality containment, skilled in problem resolution, and know how to document solutions that others can follow, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
The opportunity: In this fast-paced production environment, you’ll work closely with the Lead Quality Technician to support and resolve quality concerns on the shopfloor. You’ll carry out Level Zero investigations, identify issues at source, implement containment actions, and support corrective solutions to keep production running smoothly. Working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, you’ll also create detailed Work Instructions and Test Plans, conduct FMEA risk assessments, and help implement improvements that prevent recurring quality issues.
Working hours:
- Monday - Thursday - 07:00am - 16:00pm
- Friday - 07:00am - 12:00pm
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the Lead Quality Technician in managing customer quality concerns and containment activities across manufacturing operations
- Respond to quality concerns quickly and effectively, including supporting Level Zero investigations and determining immediate containment actions
- Attend production and warehouse areas to assess issues, identify root causes, and support resolution activities
- Create and maintain clear Work Instructions and Test to support inspection and quality activities
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure quality concerns are communicated and resolved efficiently
- Use internal systems and SAP to accurately record, track, and manage quality activities and project information
- Support containment, sorting, and corrective action activities to minimise disruption to production
- Carry out risk assessments, takt time reviews, and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational performance
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to support quality inspections and issue resolution
- Ensure all activities are completed in line with customer requirements, quality standards, and operational procedures
- Promote clear communication across teams and provide updates to supervisors, customers, and support functions where required
The ideal Quality Technician will have the following experience:
- Previous experience as a Quality Technician/ Engineer, Senior Quality Inspector or similar
- Strong background in quality containment and problem resolution in manufacturing
- Skilled in writing clear, accurate Work Instructions and method statements
- Knowledge of FMEA and process risk assessments
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings; basic measuring skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally familiar with ERP/SAP systems
- A reliable team player with great attention to detail and flexibility.
