Do you want to play a key role in delivering world-class quality and precision across the automotive industry? We are seeking a Quality Inspection Team Leader to join our dedicated quality management team at G&P. This is a field-based role with travel across the UK to support our manufacturing clients onsite.

Reporting to the Supervisor / Business Manager, the Quality Inspection Team Leader will be responsible for organising and leading the hour-to-hour function of designated projects across G&P areas. You will also lead a small team of quality inspectors, ensuring high standards of performance and efficiency are consistently achieved.
Working hours will vary depending on the client site. Most projects are scheduled during a standard day shift, but flexibility is needed to support different project requirements. Typical day shift: 07:00 – 16:00. Flexibility will be required for early starts or later finishes, depending on the project schedule.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading, motivating, and coaching a small team of quality inspectors
- Assigning tasks and ensuring inspectors have the relevant tooling, material flow, PPE, and understanding to follow required Test Plans / WES
- Controlling all NOK parts found during projects, ensuring correct packaging and stacking
- Working alongside the area supervisor to quickly identify and resolve issues with minimal impact on production
- Leading by example by carrying out inspection duties alongside the team
The ideal Team Leader will have:
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, engineering, production, automotive, or quality inspection environments
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Organised, resilient, and able to think creatively to solve challenges
- Full UK Driving License with access to own vehicle
Nice to have, but not essential:
- Knowledge of writing work instructions
This is a permanent position with opportunities for progression. Due to the nature of the role, you must be comfortable travelling to different sites within the UK. Please note, candidates must have the independent right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.
