Are you a dedicated Operations Team Leader with a strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in manufacturing?
We are looking for an Operations Team Leader to join our exceptional quality management team at a world-class manufacturing site, renowned for its high-performance diesel and gas engines.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Operations Team Leader, will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of between 5 ā 10 inspectors, which can increase during peak times.
You will work alongside management to successfully organise and lead the hour-to-hour function of designated projects within associated G&P areas.
Working hours are:
- Mon ā Fri ā 06:00am ā 15:00pm
- Overtime available on weekends
Although a permanent AM shift, flexibility is required around shift work, as there is a possibility of a 2 shift pattern in the future.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading and coaching a team of quality professionals
- Reviewing handover from previous shift and assigning tasks to the Quality Inspectors and Storemen in accordance.
- Ensuring all inspectors have the relevant tooling, material flow, PPE and understanding to work to the required Test Plan / WES.
- Controlling all NOK parts found during the project, ensuring the packaging and stacking of parts are correct.
- Working alongside the area supervisor to identify and promptly resolve issues, with minimal or no effect to production.
- Leading from the front by carrying out inspection duties alongside the team as and when required.
The ideal operations team leader will have the following experience:
- Proven leadership skills gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to resolve issues promptly, within a professional manner.
- Organised, resilient, with the ability to think outside the box.
Nice to have experience, but not essential:
- Knowledge of writing work instructions
