We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a global engineering and manufacturing business at an exciting time of growth and innovation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected organisation operating across multiple international manufacturing facilities, supporting the delivery of high-quality engineered products within a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting detailed inspections, supporting quality assurance activities, and working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure products meet strict engineering and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T specifications
  • Use a range of precision measuring equipment including Verniers, micrometres, gauges, CMMs, and FARO equipment
  • Record and document inspection results accurately, raising non-conformances where required
  • Support root cause investigations, CAPA activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve quality concerns in real-time
  • Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and audit-ready reports
  • Support internal and external audit activities in line with ISO standards
  • Contribute towards improving inspection methods, processes, and overall product quality
  • Ensure compliance with company health & safety and quality procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience using precision inspection equipment and measuring tools
  • Good understanding of ISO9001 standards (ISO14001 / ISO45001 advantageous)
  • Experience supporting quality investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems
  • Experience within HVAC systems or controls systems beneficial but not essential
