Practice Nurse - Maternity leave cover in Cambridge

Surgery Description

I am a non profit company working for a GP surgery in the CB2 Cambridge area. The practice is a friendly and forward-thinking GP surgery committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Support team reasonably big with 2 other PNs, 3 HCAs to support and parking on site both sites.

Role Description

Looking for locum PN to work 8 -6 across 2 sites on Mon Tues and Fri for 10 months from Feb

Pay per hour – more than will receive with any agency. I do not take any money for any purposes from the surgery so 100% of your pay is yours. Can be paid weekly if need be and organisation has 99% rate for paying within 1 week.

Key Responsibilities

• Smear taking ( must be on cervical smear taker database)
• Child imms
• Travel imms
• Wound care including compression bandages
• ECGs
• Injections eg B12
• NHS health checks
• For respiratory skills eg asthma reviews not mandatory but can pay higher

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a PN in a GP surgery setting
• Working in a GP surgery nearby preferably in Cambridge
• Is proficient in using System One clinical system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Live reasonably close to surgery
