GP Batteries UK Ltd An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our UK team as Logistics Operative, based at our office in Wellington, Somerset. This role is office based. You will play a key role to ensure the smooth and cost-effective running of day-to-day activities associated with the GPUK warehouse; to cover both Online and Offline business areas. The role encompasses inbound delivery processing, safe, secure and tidy storage of goods and accurate, timely dispatch of customer orders. This role requires close liaison with other Warehouse Operative(s), Customer Service team and Inventory Planner. This role is based in the office full-time at Wellington, Somerset. Your Duties and Responsibilities include: Goods in Liaise with CS & Inventory teams to agree container delivery dates Safe unloading of containers/lorries, within specified time limits Checking deliveries match against delivery notes by printing relevant labels in advance Safe, secure palletising and putting away of stock Accurately record stock in pre-defined locations Timely reporting of any QC issues (with photos) to CS & Inventory teams Stock Management Quarterly perpetual cycle counts of stock to ensure stock accuracy against SAP Timely reporting of aged/expiring, damaged or stock discrepancies to CS & Inventory teams Ensure appropriate rotation of stock Log and report any internal stock movements to CS & Inventory teams Involvement in the preparation and completion of the annual stock take process Production process of Online items, as required by E-commerce team Dispatch To be the Lead person for the Offline dispatch processes and development Efficient & cost-effective pick, pack and dispatch of goods, in accordance with CS, E-commerce and Inventory team instructions. Obtain secondary QC checks from CS team or Inventory Planner, once goods are picked. Collection of Proof of Deliveries (PODs) from contracted carriers to ensure billing can be made by CS team in a timely manner Understand processes for both Online and Offline business areas, being able to confidently support and cover both areas in the event of an absence or excess workload Ad-hoc Collaborate with other Warehouse and GPUK colleagues to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies within the Warehouse operation Maintain a safe, clean and tidy working environment by completing regular safety checks of warehouse environment and equipment Report on any safety or maintenance issues within the warehouse to Inventory Planner in a timely manner Regularly monitor internal communications (e.g. Outlook/Teams) responding as necessary Skills and requirements: Education – 5 good GCSEs including Math’s & English Working Experience – Warehouse, logistics, pick, pack & ship experience Technical Skill – Confidence in communication both spoken and written Language Skill – Clear English Computer Skill – Comfortable with computer use including Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams) Others – Attention to detail and willingness to learn on the job/grow into role Physically fit/energetic with lifting involved in normal duties Visit our website for more information: UK Leading Battery Brand | Buy Online | GP Batteries UK Please send your full CV with current and expected salary by clicking \”Apply\”.
