ROLE SUMMARY
This role is a VP level commercial leadership position responsible for driving wholesale performance across the Rest of World regions, encompassing EMEA and APAC. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, the role owns regional commercial results and provides day‑to‑day leadership for ROW markets. It serves as the primary commercial interface between regional teams and global leadership, ensuring alignment with global market strategy while representing regional priorities. The position carries senior level accountability and decision‑making authority.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commercial & P&L ownership: Owns ROW P&L, including revenue, margin, and operating discipline. Owns the one‑year tactical plan and long‑term financial model (LTFM) for the region. Translates global strategy into clear regional priorities and execution plans. Drives sustainable growth while managing commercial risk and resources.
- Planning, governance & business rhythms: Leads ROW input into S&OP, demand planning, revenue forecasting, open‑to‑buy and inventory planning. Represents ROW in relevant global business forums. Provides clear commercial insight, recommendations, and escalation to the CRO.
- Market & channel leadership: Establishes and upholds regionally appropriate segmentation, distribution, and go‑to‑market strategies. Manages a mix of direct, distributor, and hybrid routes to market. Builds and maintains senior‑level relationships with key customers, partners, and distributors. Balances global brand standards with local market realities.
- Go‑to‑Market & launch execution: Actively participate in global Go‑To‑Market (GTM) planning forums, representing regional commercial needs. Partner with Product, Marketing, and Operations to deliver regional execution of global GTM cycles, including new product and new region launches. Ensure regional readiness across sales, channel, inventory, training, and commercial plans. Spend time out in the field, listening to the ever changing dynamics of the retail landscape.
- Cross‑functional leadership: Works cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain. Partners with global Product and Marketing teams on launches and innovation. Acts as the commercial voice of the region into global planning discussions.
- People & leadership: Leads a regional team comprising Directors / Heads of and a small number of Territory Managers. Develops leaders and builds succession capability. Evolves structure and ways of working as markets scale. Acts as a visible cultural leader across ROW.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven commercial leader with regional or multi‑market experience.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and imperfect data.
- Strong judgement, prioritisation, and execution focus.
- Commercial breadth beyond pure sales is advantageous.
- Pragmatic, low‑ego operator who works effectively with senior leadership.
LOCATION & TRAVEL
This role would be ideally based in Bournemouth area, commutable to our Bournemouth head office, with some travel to key events, retailers, wholesale and distributor partners across ROW.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at Director/ Senior level, sales, account management, or business development, preferably in the outdoor lifestyle or consumer goods industry.
- Proven track record of success in managing a global team, key accounts and driving sales growth in a competitive market environment.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision‑makers at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a results‑oriented mindset, capable of developing and executing effective sales strategies and initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Genuine passion for outdoor cooking and lifestyle, with a keen understanding of the unique needs and preferences of outdoor enthusiasts.
