SUMMARY
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Finance Professional to join our team. In this role you will work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to complete month-end tasks in line with an agreed timetable. This is an exciting time for us as a business and there is lots of potential to grow with us.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Posting of daily payments and receipts; identifying any issues early and resolving
- Daily invoice processing, allocating invoices for approval, ensuring accurate coding of invoices
- Supporting with the weekly payment runs and processing payments
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Monitoring both accounts inboxes and responding to queries in a timely manner
- Reviewing and approving cash expenses
- Completing credit application forms for suppliers
- Open the post on a weekly basis actioning and distributing as necessary
- Maintaining invoice processing software
- Completing credit checks on new retail customers
- Daily update of cashflow and reviewing cash balances
- Weekly cashflow reporting; prior week actualising, AP report and logistics
- Supporting FP&A with a monthly department review
- Month end tasks in relation to AP
- Supporting the team with the audit
- Support the rest of the finance team with ad hoc balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute/assist in championing the need for continual improvement, seeking to develop processes and efficiencies
- Any other ad hoc duties as required by the business
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You’ll have excellent organisation skills, acute attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
- You’ll be calm under pressure.
- You’ll have exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
- You’ll take a proactive approach to your work and be an excellent problem solver.
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar accountancy role.
- Working towards an AAT qualification is desirable.
